About UP Veterinary Entrance Exam
Under the present arrangement, a candidate appears in the national undergraduate medical entrance test with physics, chemistry and biology, qualifies at the prescribed percentile, and then registers separately for veterinary counselling. Seats in the veterinary colleges of Uttar Pradesh, including those under the state veterinary and agricultural universities, are filled partly through the all India quota counselling conducted on behalf of the veterinary council of India and partly through the state counselling conducted by the designated state authority for candidates who meet the domicile conditions. Agricultural and allied undergraduate courses in the state, which are a different category, continue to be filled through the state agricultural universities entrance test rather than through the medical test.
