About Rajasthan Pre University Veterinary Test
Under the current arrangement, a candidate appears in NEET-UG, which is a national objective test in Physics, Chemistry and Biology based on the class 11 and class 12 syllabus, and then registers separately for veterinary counselling. A share of the seats in veterinary colleges is filled through the all India quota counselling run by the national veterinary authority, while the remaining state quota seats in Rajasthan are filled by the state veterinary university through its own online counselling of registration, choice filling, seat allotment and reporting. The programme itself is a five-and-a-half-year degree including a compulsory internship, covering anatomy, physiology, pathology, medicine, surgery, animal husbandry and public health.
The seat matrix, quota split, counselling schedule and fee structure are announced in the official notifications of the university and the national counselling authority.
