About CollegeHunt
CollegeHunt is a college research site for students in India. It exists because the information needed to choose a college — what it costs, who recruits there, what rank got in last year — is real and public, and is almost never presented in a form you can actually compare.
What is in here
20,311 colleges across 1,232 cities and 35 states, 3,866 courses and 442 entrance exams. Those figures are counted from the database each time this page loads, so they are what we actually hold — not a marketing number.
Where the data comes from
Fees, courses and placement figures are compiled from institute prospectuses and official disclosures. Rankings are the National Institutional Ranking Framework's, published by the Ministry of Education, reproduced with its category and year attached. Cutoffs are closing ranks from counselling authorities.
What we do not do
Corrections
Data this broad has errors in it. If something about your institute is wrong, tell us and we will fix it — a correction with a source attached is the fastest route.
