About Delhi University Entrance Test
The entrance test is an objective, computer-based examination with separate papers for each programme, so the content depends on the course applied for: science papers draw on subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and the life sciences at the level of the qualifying degree or of Class 12, while papers for humanities, commerce and professional programmes test the corresponding subject knowledge and general aptitude. The question count, duration and marking scheme, including negative marking, are stated in the information bulletin issued for the cycle, and the test is listed for May 2026 in the current cycle. Results are used by the University of Delhi and its departments and colleges to prepare merit lists, after which candidates go through the university's own counselling, document verification and seat allotment process.
