West Bengal Madhyamik Examination eligibility
A candidate must be a regularly enrolled student of Class 10 in a school affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education, having been promoted from Class 9 in that school and registered with the board within the prescribed period. The school submits the examination form and fee on the student's behalf, so registration details, subject entries and personal particulars must be verified through the school before the deadline. Candidates are expected to meet the attendance and internal assessment requirements laid down by the board, and any relaxation is granted only under the board's own rules.
Provisions for external or private candidates, for students repeating the examination, and for those appearing in specific subjects again are set out in the official notification and regulations issued by the board for the relevant session.
