About Tripura Joint Entrance Examination
TJEE is a paper-based objective test written in subject papers drawn from the class 11 and class 12 syllabus followed in Tripura. Candidates in the engineering group are examined in physics, chemistry and mathematics, while candidates aiming at agriculture, veterinary, fisheries and allied courses are examined in physics, chemistry and biology; a candidate offering all four subjects can be placed in both merit lists. Questions are multiple choice and are set on the standard higher secondary syllabus rather than on advanced material.
The merit list feeds the state counselling for professional degree courses in Tripura and for seats allotted to Tripura candidates in institutions in other states. Admission to MBBS and BDS is not made through this test, since medical and dental admission across the country runs on the national eligibility cum entrance test and its counselling.
