About Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test
The test is generally an aptitude paper rather than a syllabus based subject paper, assessing reading comprehension and verbal ability, critical and logical reasoning, and quantitative or analytical reasoning at a general level, so a candidate from any class 12 stream can attempt it. It is normally delivered in a computer based or remotely proctored format, with the number of questions, duration, sectional structure and negative marking announced in the admission notice for the cycle in question. Scores feed into a merit assessment that may also consider past academic record, and for some programmes an interview or a statement of purpose forms part of the selection.
The university runs multiple admission cycles in a year for some programmes, and the test is offered on more than one date in several of those cycles. All details on structure, accepted alternative test scores and deadlines should be taken from the official admission notification.
