Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics eligibility
The basic requirement is a pass in the class 10 examination of a recognised board, with mathematics and science, for the main engineering diploma groups. Certain groups meant for lateral entry or for specialised diplomas require a higher qualification such as class 12 with the relevant subjects, or a related certificate course. Domicile conditions of the conducting state normally apply to state quota seats, and reservation follows state policy.
The minimum marks required in the qualifying examination, the minimum or maximum age where one is prescribed, and the subject conditions for each group are laid down in the official notification of the conducting board, which candidates should read before applying.
