Gujarat NEET Counselling
Gujarat NEET Counselling is not an entrance examination. It is the seat allotment process through which candidates who have already appeared in and qualified NEET-UG are admitted to medical and dental colleges in Gujarat under the state quota. No separate test is written at this stage. The process is run by the state…
About Gujarat NEET Counselling
The process covers registration on the state committee portal, document verification, payment of the prescribed fees, filling and locking of college and course choices, publication of a state merit list based on NEET-UG scores, and seat allotment across successive rounds followed by reporting to the allotted institution. Seats offered include government medical and dental colleges, grant-in-aid institutions, self-financed and private colleges, and in some rounds management and NRI category seats, along with allied courses notified by the committee. Vacant seats left after the scheduled rounds are usually filled through mop-up or stray vacancy rounds.
Because it is a counselling process and not a test, there is no syllabus, question paper or admit card for a written examination. Candidates should follow the schedule, category definitions and reporting deadlines published in the official state counselling notification and information brochure.
