About DAV University Entrance Test
The entrance test is an objective examination made up of multiple-choice questions drawn from the school-level syllabus relevant to the programme applied for. For science programmes, the paper generally covers physics, chemistry and mathematics or biology depending on the course chosen, along with sections on English and general aptitude or reasoning as specified by the university. The test is expected in May 2026, and it is conducted in the mode and at the centres notified by the university for that cycle.
Candidates are ranked on the basis of their score, and admission is offered according to merit and the number of seats available in each programme, with the university also considering marks in the qualifying examination where its admission rules provide for it. Merit in the test may additionally be used for scholarship or fee concession decisions under the schemes announced by the university. The number of questions, duration, marking scheme and syllabus are stated in the official prospectus for each admission year.
