Assam Polytechnic Admission Test
The Assam Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) was an entrance examination for admission to diploma engineering and technology courses in Assam. It was conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam, for candidates seeking entry into the first semester of diploma programmes in state government polytechnics.

Candidates must have passed the HSLC or an equivalent examination in a single sitting. Mathematics and Science are compulsory subjects, and candidates must pass these subjects individually, including both theory and practical or internal assessment components. The prescribed minimum average in Mathematics and Science is forty percent.
