Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination

A candidate must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board, or be appearing in it in the year of admission, with the science subject combination prescribed for engineering admission, normally mathematics, physics and chemistry, with the university specifying acceptable alternatives to chemistry for certain branches. The minimum marks required in the qualifying examination, both in aggregate and in individual subjects, along with any date of birth or age condition and the rules for candidates awaiting results, are laid down in the university's official admission notification and information brochure for that year rather than being uniform across cycles. Eligibility is verified against original documents at the time of counselling and admission, and a candidate who does not meet the notified conditions is not considered even after appearing in the test.
